About Greater LA
Greater Los Angeles Lacrosse Mission
The mission of the US Lacrosse Greater Los Angeles Chapter is to ensure a unified and responsive organization that develops and promotes the sport. Our organization provides services to its members and programs to inspire participation while preserving the integrity of the game.
Our website has been created to help in communication in the Greater Los Angeles Area. It is our hope to provide information and assistance to all levels of lacrosse. This site offers many options for the lacrosse community including a calendar of events, team contact information and leagues, map that plots out all programs, and much more. Please contact us with your questions, updates, or suggestions and send them to Aaron@lalax.org
The Greater Los Angeles Chapter of US Lacrosse receives funds from three main sources: Membership, fund raising and donations. While there are some administrative expenses for things like insurance, financial software and web site maintenance, most of the money goes to the following programs:

HELPING COACHES
Recruiting and Training Coaches-
US Lacrosse has an outstanding Coaches Education Program (CEP), but can be expensive for a young aspiring coach. So this past winter the LA chapter covered 50% of the cost for CEP trainings in Santa Barbara and Pasadena for 98 coaches. It is our intention to continue to fund these excellent coach training sessions in the future.

HELPING OFFICIALS

HELPING TEAMS
Program Development-
Since 2010 the LA Chapter has been promoting Lacrosse through PE programs in our area. Over that time we have done 62 trainings for 346 teachers and more than 19,000 students. In 2013 alone we did 9 trainings for 91 teachers and more than 3,500 students.
The chapter has specific funds set aside for, developmental programs in low income areas and we are evaluating possible disbursement to these programs. In the mean time we are offering guidance and advice through US Lacrosse programs like the New Start Program:

And the First Stick Program:

Recruiting and training officials-
Good officiating impacts Lacrosse at all age levels and ability. The LA Chapter is committed to finding people who want to be officials or umpires and getting them trained. We are currently providing scholarships for girls umpires and funding evaluations for officials on the boys side.
